Our Charity Initiative

Help Us Help Others

Bennison Brown from it’s inception, has always wanted to be able to give back to the local community and to causes that are close to the hearts of it’s staff.

In 2021 four charities will receive a donation from BB. The charities chosen for 2021 were voted for and nominated by Bennison Brown staff. These charities have both a local connection to where our staff live and personal connection too.

The Charities we have chosen

Isle of Dogs Food Bank (Quarter 1 2021)

The Isle of Dogs Food Bank provides food and sundries through the food pantry. It offers 10 items of food (usually tins and dry foods) to people who are in need. The Food Bank has recently seen an increase in demand from the people in the local community. Throughout the winter the food pantry needed around £300 per week to meet the demand.

Jericho Project, Kings Church (Quarter 2 2021)

The Jericho Road Project exists to alleviate poverty in South East London. It aims to support those who live on the streets, helping them to become functioning members of society who make their own contributions to their community. Volunteers prepare and send a nutritious meal, snacks and other items to some of the most vulnerable members of the community.

Bliss (Quarter 3 2021)

Bliss is a charity that offers a wide range of free services to the families of premature and extremely sick babies in the UK. Their vision is that every baby born premature or sick in the UK has the best chance of survival and quality of life.

Every day over 300 babies are admitted to neonatal care, and one in four of these little ones will need life-saving intensive care.

£50 can support vital research that could transform the future for premature and sick babies everywhere.

Bristol Mind (Quarter 4 2021)

Bristol Mind is a mental health charity for people in Bristol and the surrounding areas. They promote a positive view of mental health and provide services that are accessible, relevant, and empowering to the people using them.

Bristol Mind aim to contribute to mental and emotional wellbeing and to reduce stigma and discrimination. £25 pays for a half-hour call to their Mindline Helpline giving someone in need a place to turn and a listening ear.

Joining the cause

Some of the lenders and companies we regularly work with have agreed to support our chosen charities. We are very grateful for those that have joined us as it really makes a difference.
